Warwick & Susan Shaw Commission

Eye -Catching ArtBirkdale sculpture teacher Georgette Schwantes has created an eye catching sculpture centrepiece for a Scarborough couple’s home.

The female torso was a commission on behalf of Warwick and Susan Shaw, who had seen one of Georgette’s works in a gallery.

Warwick said “Although we loved Georgette’s sculpture we saw in the gallery, I thought, if we are to have a sculpture, it should be of Susan and no one else.”

Georgette painstakingly recreated the torso of Susan in clay after several sittings.

Warwick and Susan said they now had an original centrepiece for their new home.
