Five sculptures… patiently waiting for the next stage of their journey. 🌿
At the moment, five original sculptures are quietly drying in my Birkdale studio before they can be fired in the kiln.
Patience is an important part of working with clay. Each piece must dry completely before firing, ensuring the best possible result. Once kiln-fired, the sculptures become incredibly durable – stronger than a house brick – ready to be treasured for many years to come.
It’s always an exciting time, as every sculpture represents the imagination, dedication, and creativity of the person who made it.
If you’ve ever wondered whether you could create something like this yourself, my ongoing clay sculpting classes welcome complete beginners as well as continuing students in a friendly and supportive environment.
🎁 Art vouchers are also available and can be used for classes or towards one of the original sculptures in my adjoining gallery, where over 40 one-of-a-kind pieces are on display.
Every finished sculpture begins with a simple lump of clay… and a little imagination.
