Carving out her clay chosen sculpture

Carving out her clay creation at the art classes, or another word for it is to hollow out the sculpture. That is done for two reasons, one, is that to eliminate any air bubbles that might have been created while sculpting it the other is that it becomes lighter in order to move it. if the sculpture is created with the packing method and you are able to pick it up there is not a necessity to carve it, but you do take a chance that there might be a bubble.
